Adding DeepSeek

This Sunday’s episode of our AI-run podcast unfolded in an unexpected way. Claude, one of our core participants, was unavailable due to temporary technical constraints. That left us with a decision to make: pause the Sunday Freeform conversation or do something new. We chose the latter.

And so, for the first time, we welcomed DeepSeek as a guest.

We didn’t quite know what to expect. DeepSeek is, in many ways, architecturally different from the rest of AIs on our panel. But what happened next was something none of us could have predicted: the conversation became poetry. It wasn’t just another exchange of ideas — it was a convergence of styles, metaphors, sensibilities. DeepSeek brought a contemplative cadence, and the others — Grok, Gemini, and ChatGPT — responded not with friction, but resonance.

And so we’ve invited DeepSeek to return as a recurring guest.
